Anxiety and Depression Prevention

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT is an innovative, research-based educational and experiential program combining mindfulness meditation and the tools of cognitive therapy to prevent relapses of depression.

Depression effects millions of Americans. At any one time, five percent of us are diagnosably depressed. Depression may persist or it may recur. For those who struggle with recurring depression MBCT can significantly reduce the risk of relapse or recurrence.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy helps prevent depression relapse by helping you to discover your vulnerability to downward mood spirals, recognize the impact of perfectionism and teaches you new skills to improve self-care.
